michelle obama which of course got a big roar from the crowd. quite a few speeches were great. but money and the ads it buys speaks to a wider audience and you guys are losing the money race. how worried are you >> this is a big issue because, again, one of the reasons president clinton's speech went so long he did have to rebut all the misinformation that came out of the republican convention from romney and ryan and they are putting out that same information across the country with all the money they've got. so, first of all, it's important that we fight back and it's good president clinton will go to some of these battleground states. it's important that everybody who is focusing on this selection is millions of americans that are doing now understand it's important for them to get organized and activated so we can get the message out. >> a lot of people have suggested is that beyond these speeches are the debates. smack in the middle of preps. how important are they? >> the debates will be very important. that's when you get to see the candidates, one on one, hashing out these issues

michele obama to that list now. >> oh, my gosh. the reaction from that speech has been -- i mean i have heard from people from all walks of life who were completely moved by that speech and brought to tears. i don't even think they expected it to be that good. she was excellent. >> yeah. >> it was her execution that just brought it home. >> her speech was tough. she delivered it well. >> hours before last night's big speeches there was an awkward and unexpected moment on the convention floor, amid criticism from mitt romney, and other top republicans, democrats held a last-minute vote to reinsert the word "god" into the party platform and to declare jerusalem the capital of israel. >> the matter requires a two-thirds vote in the affirmative. all those delegates in favor, say aye. all those delegates opposed say no. >> in the opinion of the -- let me do that again. all of those delegates in favor, say aye. >> aye. >> all those delegates opposed say no. >> no. >> i, um, i guess -- you got to let them do what they're going to do. >> i'll do that one more time. all those delegates in favor,

profiles i have seen over michele obama. this is a slow rising tide. david gregory didn't get the job just because he was a white male. he is someone who had been a white house correspondent for nbc. he had the skills that were necessary to be a good broadcaster and a good interviewer. the time will come when those jobs will be again available, and there will be a much wider range of people who will be eligible for them. one of them could very well be an african-american. it may be an asian american. i'm not sure. it may be a hispanic american. we are seeing more presents of people with different ethnic backgrounds than just white, anglo and protestant. bryant gumbel succeeded me on "the today show" as the african-american host of "the today show", for example. >> host: for scrotal organ, please go ahead with your question or comment. >> caller: i come from a different journalist background than you, but i feel equally crucial to americans and how they should know what is going on in their world. i was a reporter and an editor at a small, medium-sized weeklies in dailies over the nation fo

extreme, bigoted voices in his own party -- wait a minute. this is the same barack obama that took $1 billion from bill maher. he never called sarah palin, you, michele bachmann. >> this is such a grand theater to distract from the failures of obamacare. remember, this sandra fluke rhoads to fame in a few matter of months, somebody who have been primed as a tool for the feminist left. she came to fame in order to what? pedal free birth control. this she is a standard bearer of the democratic party. >> sean: the fact she is here and how the relationship got started and then think bill maher gives $1 million to obama and called sarah palin the c-word -- >> let's distract from the real war on conservative women and let's talk about the war on pro-life democratic women. they have no voice on this platform. there are 21 million democrats out there, sean, that identify themselves as pro-life. what do they think of this abortion palosa. >> sean: you are right. they are not talking about the economy. will this be the convention where on the floor of the democratic convention, delegates boo'd
